2020 Week 6 NFL Picks

Ron Rivera on Antonio Gibson: "70 Touches in 5 games is really not a lot...
this is a guy who we think can handle a little bit more load.
We're going to continue to work him.. we're going to see if he can handle it or not.

Sunday

Kansas City Chiefs (-4.5) @ Buffalo Bills -  Kansas City really struggled against the Raiders last week and may have their works cut out against the Bills.  Luckily for the Chiefs, the Bills are coming in from a shorter week than normal but they also look to rebound from a loss.  Le'Veon Bell goes from the worst team in football to the best team in football but will not be able to play this week.

Houston Texans (+4.5) @ Tennessee Titans  -  The Houston Texans appear to have re-activated Brandin Cooks who is coming off his best game of the season. The Titans are coming off a big win against the Bills but this game may be closer due to coming off a short week against a division rival.

Cleveland Browns (+3.5) @ Pittsburgh Steelers - Claypool had 4 touchdowns last week against the Eagles in one of the most bizarre covers of the season.  The Browns are also playing well in what could be the game of the week.  Mayfield's accuracy issues could become problematic although the Browns have a better running game and perhaps their defense could pressure Big Ben to make this a closer game.

Baltimore Ravens (-7.5) @ Philadelphia Eagles - Instead of Terrell Owens celebration imitating Ray Lewis celebrating a TD, the Eagles are envisioning Fulgham to repeat his 152 yard week.  That being said, the Ravens defense could give the Eagles trouble.

Washington Football Team @ New York Giants (-2.5)(LOCK) - Washington went to Alex Smith who had 36 yards passing but also allowed 6 sacks, who will go back to Kyle Allen who has lost his last 8 games he started.   The Giants last win with Daniel Jones came against the Washington Football Team.  Brandon Scherff comes back which could bolster Washington's offensive line.

Atlanta Falcons (+4) @ Minnesota Vikings - The Falcons could get a bounce similar to the Texansby  firing head coach Bill O'Brien last week.  Of course, they would probably get a bigger boost offensively if Julio Jones is fully healthy.  Alexander Matison can fill in the void for Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson could have big weeks against a very poor Falcon's secondary.

Detroit Lions (-3) @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Detroit is coming off a bye and looks to take advantage of a Jacksonville defense that has struggled all season.  The Lions have jumped out to big leads in 3 of their losses against the Bears, Packers, and Saints.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Indianapolis Colts (-7.5) - The Colts struggled last week against the Browns but look to get back on track against a hapless Bengals teams.  The Bengals could bounce back from their anemic numbers last week against the Ravens where they were essentially shut out.  Instead of going for it on 4th and 2 with 50 seconds to go down 27-0, the Bengals inexplicably settled for a field goal.  Joe Mixon looked ordinary against a Ravens defense and the Colts defense could be an equally tough test.

Chicago Bears @ Carolina Panthers (-1) (LOCK) - The Panthers under Matt Rhule appear to be a very underrated team although face a pass front in the Bears did make Tom Brady forget what down it was at the end of the game.   Mike Davis gets a chance to get revenge on his former team.

New York Jets (+9.5) @ Miami Dolphins - Is it safe to believe in the Dolphins with Fitzmagic; this is usually the time where he comes crashing down to earth. That being said, it is another revenge game against the Jets which is not unusual for Fitzpatrick who has played for every team in the division.  The Jets offense looks terrible with Flacco although it is still hard to believe the Dolphins are a team to reckoned with.

New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos(+7.5) -  Both teams return their starting quarterbacks.  Melvin Gordon is out for the Broncos but perhaps the Broncos passing attack can back on track with Lock back.

Green Bay Packers (-1)(LOCK) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers - This could be a very exciting game as both team have at least 10 days to prepare for this one.  Aaron Rodgers with Davante Adams could be a tough for the Bucs to slow down.  The Bucs defense didn't appear to cover the slot that well.  Chris Godwin is expected to return but the Packers defense has been more impressive especially when they slowed the Saints earlier this season.

Los Angeles Rams (-3)(LOCK) @ San Francisco 49ers -  The Rams appear to be plaing much better than their opponent the 49ers that benched Jimmy Garrapolo last week.  Aaron Donald could wreak havoc and the 49ers dfense could continue to struggle without Sherman in the secondary.

Monday

Arizona Cardinals (-1) @ Dallas Cowboys - The Andy Dalton era begins in Dallas.  These are two similar defenses where Ezekiel Elliot will mash the cardinals run defense and Kyler Murry will play well against the Cowboys defense.
