2022 Week 12 NFL Picks

Houston Texans (+13) @ Miami Dolphins  - The Texans just got walloped by a Washington team that easily took care of Houston.  Is there a possibility for the Texans to make this competitive given their offense finally showed some life in the end of the first quarter against Washington.  Houston has actually only lost by 13 or more points twice this season.

Cincinnati Bengals  @ Tennessee Titans (+1.5) - The Bengals will still be without Jamarr Chase although their offense has been explosive the last few weeks without him.  The Titans could devise a better game plan the Panthers or the Steelers and are motivated by a possible revenge.

Denver Broncos @ Carolina Panthers (+2.5) - It's unclear which team has less confidence in their quarterback.  The Broncos lost again to the struggling raiders.  Both team's defense are outplaying thier offense.  The Panthers go to Sam Darnold to replace Bake Mayfield.

Chicago Bears @ New York Jets (-4.5) - No Justin Fields is a possibility for the Bears as Nathan Peterman could be playing although it's unclear how much of an upgrade Mike White is over Zach Wilson.

Atlanta Falcons @ Washington Commanders (-4) -  Washington's defense could do enough to win them this game if they can simply stop Atlanta's point of attack in the running game.  Special teams could be a it worrisome for the Commanders have been producing a much better effort since Taylor Heinickie has been in the lineup.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5) @ Cleveland Brown- Tampa Bay is looking to continue it's winning streak coming off a bye.  The Bucs will need to slow down Cleveland's running attack.

Baltimore Ravens (-4) @ Jacksonville Jaguars - The Ravens defense looked much better against the Panthers although their offense will have to play better against a Jaguars team that has lost several close games.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Seattle Seahawks (-3.5)  - Las Vegas is coming off a close win against a poor Broncos team.  Seattle is coming off a bye and will look to redeem themselves after their loss to the Bucs.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Arizona Cardinals (+4.5) - If Kyler Murray returns, then perhaps the Cardinals can keep it close especially since the Chargers will be without Mike Williams.  Although the Cardinals will have to deal with Austin Ekeler.

New Orleans Saints  (+9) @ San Francisco 49ers -  The new look 49ers look to win their 3rd game in a row.  Although the Saints are coming off a win against a depleted Rams team.

Los Angeles Rams (+14.5) @ Kansas City Chiefs - Maybe Sean McVay can draw up an effective game plan against the Chiefs although it will be a tall task without Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, and a substandard running game it will be tough for the Rams to hang on the road.

Green Bay Packers (+7) @ Philadelphia Eagles - Perhaps Aaron Rodgers can do enough to keep it close against the Eagles even though he is dealing with a thumb injury.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) - The Colts look to continue to build momentum with Jeff Saturday as a head coach.

2022 NFL Thanksgiving Picks

Buffalo Bills @ Detroit Lions (+9.5) - Is Josh Allen 100%?  The Lions have been playing with 3 consecutive wins.  With Dan Campbell at the helm, maybe the Lions are due for a let down or maybe they will remain competitive with DeAndre Swift and Armon St Brown in the lineup.  The Bills will play their second consecutive game in Detroit so the shorter week shouldn't hurt them as much.

New York Giants (+9.5) @ Dallas Cowboys -  The Giants lost to the Cooper Rush lead Cowboys.  Now the backup who is outperforming the starter is not Dak Prescott but Tony Pollard.  Dallas had a letdown against the Vikings and redeemed themselves against the Vikings.

New England Patriots @ Minnesota Vikings (-3) - If Bill Bellichick had Tom Brady, I would suggest that this would be a win against the upstart Vikings.  However, Mac Jones and the Patriots only managed 3 points before a special teams return by the Jets.  The thing is though that the Patriots could slow the Vikings enough to give them a chance but Justin Jefferson getting contained is a tall task.

2022 Week 11 Picks

Chicago Bears @ Atlanta Falcons (-3) - People question whether there will be over 25 passing attempts in this game.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Indianapolis Colts (6.5) - The Eagles look to bounce bac after a turnover filled game against the Commanders.  The Colts are coming off a surprise win against the Raiders although the Raiders have been playing pretty badly.

New York Jets @ New England Patriots (-3) - Th Patriots should be able to devise a game plan to slow down the Jets without Breece Hall even with their sub-par quarterback play.

Washington Commanders (-3) @ Houston Texans -  The Commanders should take care of the Texans fairly easily if they up to their potential although they could have an emotional letdown after a gritty performance against the Texans.   That being said, if Washington's offensive line can actually hold up, they could also be building momentum for a potential playoff run.

Los Angeles Rams @ New Orleans Saints (3.5) - Without Cooper Kupp, the Rams offense looks very mediocre.  Allen Robinson or someone from the receiving corps needs to step up.

Cleveland Browns @ Buffalo Bills (-8) - With this game being played in Detroit, the Bills offense could actually get going.

Carolina Panthers (+12) @ Baltimore Ravens - The Ravens could take care of the new look Panthers although who knows if DJ Moore will continue to show up.

Detroit Lions @ New York Giants (-3) - The Lions under Dan Campbell have won 2 of their last 3.  The Giants look to continue to win at home.

Las Vegas Raiders (+2.5) @ Denver Broncos - Neither team has been playing well - the Bronco's offense has been anemic.  The Raiders could do enough to keep it close as they did defeat the Broncos by 9 points earlier in the season.

Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings (+1) - The Vikings keep managing to pull out close wins.  Dallas is looking to bounce back after a poor performance against the Packers, although the Vikings do present a tougher matchup than the Packers.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers (+4.5)- The Bengals simply have the Steelers number lately although the Steelers could keep it close as it is a division game plus the Bengals still don't have Jamarr Chase.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers (6.5) - Herbert alwasys seems to keep it close against the Chiefs although Kansas City is the superior team.

San Francisco 49ers (-8) @ Arizona Cardinals - Without Kyler Murray, the 49ers should manage to take care of the Cardinals.

2022 Week 10 Picks

Minnesota Vikings @ Buffalo Bills (-5) - The Bills are coming off a disappointing loss while the Vikings hanged on against a Washington team that gave them all they could handle.  I expect the Bills to bounce back although the Vikings pass rush rush was much better than I anticipated last week.

Detroit Lions@ Chicago Bears (-2.5) -  The Bears offense has gotten it together lately.  The Lions have really struggled on the road aside from a division matchup against the Vikings.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) - The Chiefs kind of held back against the Texans in a short week.  The Jaguars are capable of big plays but I'm not sure it will be enough especially as the Chiefs will experiment with their new offensive acquisition, Kadarius Toney.

Cleveland Browns @ Miami Dolphins (-3.5) -  The Dolphins look to take care of the Browns whose defense is surprising win against the Bengals.  That being said, the Browns have not won on the road since week 1 while the Dolphins remain undefeated at home.

Houston Texans (+6) @ New York Giants  - The Giants defense could make this a low scoring game.

New Orleans Saints @ Pittsburgh Steelers (+2.5) - Andy Dalton goes against his former division rival.  The Steelers are coming off a bye and look to take care of the Saints who were easily dispatched by the Ravens last week.

Denver Broncos @ Tennessee Titans (-3) - Russell Wilson goes against the Titans whose defense is solid.  Derrick Henry faces a tough Bronco's defense but right now I have more fate in Henry than Wilson although the Titans' poor pass protection could keep this game close.

Indianapolis Colts (+6) @ Las Vegas Raiders -  Interim head coach Jeff Saturday goes against a despondent Raiders team that has yet to reach lofty expectations.

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers (+5) -  The Cowboys will look to stomp the Packers as the Giants and Commanders have already beaten Aaron Rodgers this season.

Los Angeles Rams (-3) @ Arizona Cardinals-  With Kyler Murray banged up, the Rams will attempt to salvage their season.

Los Angeles Chargers @ San Francisco 49ers (-7) - The 49ers are also coming off a bye and will have a healthy Deebo Samuels alongside the newly acquired Christian McCaffrey.  The Chargers are banged up in their receiving corps.

Washington Commanders(+11) @ Philadelphia Eagles-  The Eagles look to remain perfect.  The Commanders are coming off a loss where they largely outplayed a Minnesota team. The Commanders do get Jahan Dotson back which could provide them a much needed weapon to keep this game relatively close.  Although the Commanders will have to play error free football against an Eagles team that has no real weaknesses.

2022 Week 9 Picks

Los Angeles Chargers (-3) @ Atlanta Falcons - The Chargers are banged up playing without Allen and Mike Williams while Patterson returns for the Falcons.

Miami Dolphins @ Chicago Bears (+5) - The Bears are playing much better even with a blowout loss to the Cowboys, they kept it close for a while until Dallas's offense put up 49 points.

Carolina Panthers (+7.5) @ Cincinnati Bengals - The Bengals got blown out by the Browns.  It will be interesting to see if they can bounce back or if being without Jamarr Chase is too much.  The Panthers have looked mildly interesting against the Falcons although perhaps relying on hail mary heaves

Green Bay Packers  @ Detroit Lions (+3.5) - The Packers have now lost 4 straight games.  The Lions have surprisingly covered in all their home games.

Buffalo Bills (-13) @ New York Jets - The Bills secondary is a bit banged up  Will it matter against a Jets team playing without Breece Hall.

Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots (-5.5) -  This could be a relatively low scoring game.  Even without Taylor, there is a chance the Patriots could cover especially if Mac Jones continues to struggle.  That being said, no Jonathan Taylor could make it difficult for the Colts to put up any points.

Minnesota Vikings @ Washington Commanders (+3.5)- Kirk Cousins and the Viking are coming off a bye although perhaps Washington can make a game of it.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Jacksonville Jaguars (+1.5) - The Raiders offense appears to be inept. The Jaguars manage to lose close game all the time while playing well.  If the Jaguars defense can contain Jacobs, it could be tough for the Raiders to win unless Carr improves his play dramatically.

Seattle Seahawks (+2) @ Arizona Cardinals -  The Seahawks are playing well on both sides of the ball.  Geno Smith continues his MVP case with the departure of Russell Wilson.

Los Angeles Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5) - Both teams have been beyond disappointing this year.  The Bucs may come ahead at home especially if Kupp is banged up.

Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)  - Tannehill is questionable and Andy Reid coached teams play ridiculously well coming off byes.

Baltimore Ravens (-3) @ New Orleans Saints - The Saints dominated the Raiders last week although the Ravens look to come out ahead even without Mark Andrews.
