- Carolina is playing at home and getting Cam Newton back.  Stafford and Calvin Johnson could swing the game the other way, but the Panther's defense is more impressive than the Giants defense that the Lions faced last week.

- Miami comes off an impressive win against the Patriots while the Bills just beat the Chicago Bears.  I like Miami more - of course wouldn't shock me if Buffalo took this one.

- Washington has to win this game.  Jacksonville like Washington also failed failed to score in the 2nd half against the a game.  Still, the Redskins were within striking distance and hadit eliminated a few mistakes- they had 2 fumbles inside the 20 yard line and a blocked punt that was returned for a TD- the Redskins could have played at least a closer game.  Redskins can't expect to have the same mistakes two times in a row to cover the spread.

- I'm reluctantly picking Dallas here- I'm expecting Romo is not washed up completely and the 49ers defense had something to do with his sub-par performance.  Of course the Titans defense isn't chopped liver either.

- Arizona Cardinals are a good football team- including solid receivers, a promising running back in Ellington, and a solid defense.  Carson Palmer is hit or miss but Bruce Arians coaching him helps out.  I am not sure if the Giants defense can hang with the Cardinals and if Eli Manning has a grasp of the offense to pick the Giants.

- New England Patriots should win this game and I would have to think more about this pick if Adrian Peterson wasn't playing.  Matt Cassell playing his former team is interesting sub-plot in this one.

- I'm expecting New Orleans to play much better and it doesn't want to dig itself into to deep of a hole with an 0-2 start.  Cleveland showed some firepower against the Pittsburgh but it appears that the Steelers defense is broken.

- Give me Atlanta and the points.  The Bengals are slightly favored, but I expect Matt Ryan and his offensive arsenal to keep this game close.

-  Someone has to win this game- give me Tampa Bay. St. Louis QB situation scares me more than anything.

-  I barely have San Diego and the points in this one. The Seahawks are the superior team but this could be a trap for them as far as the Vegas lines go.

- Houston has a solid defense going for them and they are playing at home.

- Green Bay had a dismal performance against the Seahawks, they should do much better against the Jets.

- Kansas City probably won't win this game but I think they have a good chance to keep it within 2 scores.

- San Francisco's defense should play even better at home against the Bears who struggled against the Bills.

- I will take Luck and the Colts at home to beat the Eagles.  Philly's first half performance against the Jags is worrisome to me.
